Write a Conflict-Resolution Process

A source-aware learning challenge with a practical assignment and a private reflection space.

What to understand

A disagreement about a ritual interpretation is different from harassment, discrimination, or a threat to safety. Public intellectual disagreements can be addressed through clear evidence and respectful discussion. Complaints about misconduct need confidential intake, non-retaliation, fair review, and proportionate action. A leader who is personally involved in a conflict should not be the only person deciding its outcome. In urgent cases, ordinary safety and legal obligations take priority over the group's preference for private resolution.

Your practical assignment

Draft a decision tree for three situations: theological disagreement, repeated hostile messages, and an urgent safety concern. Include who handles each, what records are kept, and how confidentiality is explained.
