Priesthood & Leadership Preparation
Develop the practical, ethical, organizational and historical competence expected of responsible spiritual educators and community leaders. This is academic preparation, not Third-Degree initiation.
What you will learn
- Create transparent governance, safeguarding, finance, privacy and grievance policies
- Mentor students without coercion and recognize the limits of one's authority
- Support life transitions compassionately while referring clinical and legal concerns
- Plan safe public celebrations and ceremonies with consent and local legal awareness
- Document oral histories with informed consent, provenance and access controls
- Present a reviewed, evidence-backed community leadership capstone
Your complete course sequence
The final portfolio
Submit a complete community-stewardship portfolio: 12-month teaching schedule, coven or study-circle charter, budget, safeguarding and referral plan, consent and privacy policies, interview-release template, three original public rituals, a training assessment, and a 3,000-word reflective leadership paper. Human evaluation is mandatory; no automatic degree.
Evaluation criteria
- Governance and accountability
- Safeguarding and referral readiness
- Historical and theological literacy
- Quality and accessibility of public rites
- Responsible mentoring and assessment
- Honest limits of authority and personal reflection
Course completion, a strong portfolio, and a reviewer decision document educational study. Only the relevant Wiccan tradition can determine whether an individual holds First, Second, or Third Degree initiation or priestly standing.
